About Peace Corps

The Peace Corps is a service and volunteer program run by the United States government. Founded in 1961, the Peace Corps sends American volunteers overseas to work with local communities on education, health, community economic development, agriculture, environment, and youth-in-development projects.

The Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection connects with employers and job seekers at events across the DMV region to share information about Peace Corps service, RPCV career networks, and volunteer opportunities.
