Many of our programs allow students to utilize Post 9/11 GI Bill, MGIB (Chapters 30 and 33), Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter), Trade Act and Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA). We offer both day and evening tracks. Here at New Horizons Richmond, we focus on skills and knowledge development, and attainment of DoD 8570.1-M credentials with hands-on learning through our Network Support Technician, Windows Desktop Support, and Information Security Professional programs.
Our Cyber-Security program is approved under DoDI 1322.29 as a Skill Bridge Career Skills Program for transitioning service members in order to develop skills and knowledge of Principles of Computer Security (CompTIA Security+), Ethical Hacking (EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker), and Cybersecurity Analyst duties CompTIA Cyber-Security Analyst. Our Network Support Technician program prepares students for career change or upgrade to entry level Computer User Support (Help Desk) and Network and Computer System Administrators.
Job Placement Services: There are more IT and Cybersecurity jobs than there are candidates in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We have more than 65 partner employers such as ACI Federal, BAI, Tek Systems, Apex, Seneca Technology, and many others who hire our students and participate in interviews and placement for exciting, high paying roles with fresh, hands-on skills and credentials!
