Description
Full-time ordnance technician at NSWC Indian Head, including shift work (swing and night shifts), subject to DOT physical examinations and certification. Operates energetic equipment and energetic transport vehicles, and inspects, stores and tracks shipments of energetic and hazardous material. Follows SOPs for production of energetic/hazardous material and hazardous-waste practices. Uses forklifts, trucks and lifting equipment and maintains accurate inventory records.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; ordnance/weapons, inventory or warehouse experience a plus; U.S. Citizen with valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; respirator qualification; ability to pass Ammo-18 certification class; computer/Microsoft Office skills.
