Description
The Fairfax County Department of Information Technology (DIT) is seeking an experienced IT Director to serve as the Assistant Director of Infrastructure, reporting to the Chief Director of Infrastructure. This senior leadership position directly manages the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) Team and Business Operations & Logistics Team (BOLT) while helping shape technology strategy, modernization, investment planning, and engineering capabilities across the Infrastructure Division.
Requirements
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or closely related field; plus seven years of progressively responsible experience in applying information technology to meet the needs of a government or business organization. Work is generally sedentary and performed in a normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations. Closing date: 10/30/2026 11:59 PM Eastern.
