Description
Provides senior technical leadership and process-engineering support for ordnance and defense manufacturing operations at NSWC Indian Head. Develops and improves process flows, procedures and process-control strategies, and troubleshoots chemical-process, equipment and instrumentation issues. Leads process-improvement initiatives on safety, quality, throughput and yield, and supports equipment installation, commissioning and startup. Supports investigations of process deviations and participates in process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering; 10 years of experience in ordnance, ammunition, explosives, weapons systems, logistics, maintenance or a related military/government environment; experience supporting production or chemical-process operations and troubleshooting manufacturing processes; technical documentation/SOP experience; must pass background checks and drug screening; ability to receive and maintain a Secret clearance.
